Eight hours out of Lisbon in a mini-van for up to eight people, with 90 minutes at the Park and National Palace of Pena and stops at Cabo da Roca and Cascais.
Updated 18 October 2026
This Pena Palace tour runs eight hours from Lisbon in an air-conditioned mini-van capped at eight passengers, from €70 per adult, rated 4.9 ★ (5026 reviews). Pick-up and drop-off are at hotels in the city centre, and the day covers five stops: Sintra's historic centre, the Park and National Palace of Pena, Quinta da Regaleira, Cabo da Roca and Cascais.
The Pena Palace ticket is not included. The listing states how it is handled: the guide will have tickets for you and you pay the guide. Lunch is not included either, and the 60 minutes in Sintra's centre are where most people eat, with the Priquita pastry shop on the short list.
The guided commentary takes place at the outside of the monuments, so inside the palace you walk the route at your own speed. Photography and video are not allowed inside the National Palace of Pena in any case, and tripods and drones are banned across the site. Ninety minutes is the time set aside at Pena, which is enough for the palace route or for a stretch of the 85-hectare park, so decide in the van which one you want.
The vehicle solves the part of the day that catches drivers out. The Rampa da Pena, the final approach road, is permanently closed to private cars, and the historic centre of Sintra is restricted to residents, so arriving in your own car means a peripheral car park and a bus. On this tour the mini-van and the guide handle the logistics and you keep the walking for the park.
Five stops, a maximum of eight passengers, pick-up and drop-off at central Lisbon hotels and Airbnbs. The Pena Palace ticket is not included: the guide holds tickets for you and you pay the guide.

The four alternatives below are all full days out of Lisbon built around Pena, and they differ mainly in starting price, group format and what is already paid for. The €120 option states that all tickets are included and adds guided visits to Pena and Regaleira; the €35 and €48 options start lower, and the Gardens Walk day puts more of its time in the park.
