Eight hours from Praça da Figueira, a group of up to eight, and both monuments with tickets and a guide already arranged.
Updated 18 October 2026
A full day out of Lisbon in a group of up to 8 travellers, 8 hours long, from €120, with every entrance ticket already in the price. The route has three stops: 90 minutes at the Park and National Palace of Pena, 60 minutes at Quinta da Regaleira, 90 minutes in Sintra's historic centre. The guide stays with the group all day and leads the visits inside both monuments.
The palace interior runs on timed slots with a daily cap on numbers. A ticket admits you on the exact date and time printed on it, there is no early entry and no grace period if you are late. On this tour that slot is bought and held for you, which removes the one thing that most often breaks a Sintra day.
Pena is mostly outdoors. The park covers 85 hectares, and it takes about 30 minutes from the main entrance up to the start of the palace route, on foot or using the paid transfer that runs every 15 minutes. With 90 minutes on site you get the terraces, the Courtyard of the Arches and the interior rooms; the western reaches of the park, including the Chalet of the Countess of Edla, need a visit of their own. Photography and video are not allowed inside the palace, and tripods are forbidden across the site.
Quinta da Regaleira was built for Carvalho Monteiro with Luigi Manini in the late 1800s, and the hour there goes fast. Circulation inside the palace is one way, the Initiatic Well is descended only, and the Waterfall Path is closed, so the tunnels, the chapel and the garden terraces are where the time goes.
Private vehicles cannot reach the monument at all: the Rampa da Pena, the final approach road, is permanently closed to private cars and used by public transport, and access to Sintra's historic centre is restricted to residents. Under the traffic measures announced in July 2026, tour coaches use the Lourel peripheral car park and passengers transfer to buses 434 and 435. That is the part of the day you do not have to work out yourself.
Pena park and palace plus Quinta da Regaleira, entrance included for both, a group of eight and an air-conditioned vehicle, leaving from Praça da Figueira.

Prices in the table are starting prices and the days are built differently: the 5.5-hour option leaves you an afternoon back in Lisbon, while the 9 to 10 hour versions stretch out to the coast. What each one includes is set out on its own booking page; the rows below give only length, starting price and rating.
